Children’s Hope Initiative Foundation (CHIF) was initiated in 2020 by a group of passionate individuals committed to serving children and the communities as a not-for-profit Organization, whose financial resources are locally mobilized and directed towards children, youth and community development. In working with the Local Community, Government agencies and other Religious Ministries, CHIF does not discriminate against race, sex, ethnicity or religion background. The organization recognizes that the most highly underprivileged, disadvantaged and vulnerable people in their social and economic environment in the community are children and youth. Many children and youth in our community face significant challenges, including poverty, lack of access to education, and vulnerability to exploitation, hence, attending to these issues first mitigates the risk factors on peace and development and greatly enhances the impact of direct interventions.
The desired goal of the organization is to significantly improve their well-being to realize their full potential for sustainable livelihoods. We do this through the provision of formal and non-formal education, life skills development for the youth in and out of school, psychosocial support, Child and Youth protection, mitigation of Gender-Based and Domestic Violence practices that affect the children, and Economic Empowerment of these children’s caretakers. The activities are centered on working with individuals and communities.
